Kodak Ektachrome E100 is a colour transparency film with rich colour and very clean highlight separation. Because the developed slide is already a positive image, it gives us a direct reference for judging the scan.
This frame was wet-mounted and scanned in 16-bit Lab. The deep blue water and the tiny white and gold reflections are all present on the transparency. Nothing was added with colour grading afterwards.
